It makes sense that lenders need information about you and the property you wish to purchase in order to see if you qualify for a loan. They aren’t mind readers, after all. As a result, there are six pieces of information that you are required to provide to any lender you approach:
- Name
- Income
- Social Security Number
- Property Address
- Estimated Property Value
- Mortgage Amount Sought
In addition, a creditor may collect whatever extra information they deem necessary. However, as soon as you have provided the six required pieces, the creditor has three business days to provide a loan estimate for approved loans.
